Every March, we celebrate National Women's Month to recognize the important role of women in society. The celebration demonstrates women's accomplishments and their educational and leadership and community development work. The event serves as a platform to promote equal rights and establish respectful treatment for all women.
Our school organized events which demonstrated our commitment to help women gain empowerment. The activities included basic programs which led to discussions and the practice of wearing purple as a way to demonstrate both unity and respect. The activities helped us learn about the various obstacles women encounter while we understood the need to defend their rights.
The celebration showed me that women possess both strength and capability while they should receive equal chances in life. Today's women continue to inspire others through their courageous determination to overcome life's challenges. Their stories encourage us to respect and support one another regardless of gender.
National Women’s Month serves as a celebration and a reminder that every person must work toward achieving equality. The creation of a better society which includes everyone requires us to show respect and appreciation and support to others.
